Manresa State Beach
1445 San Andreas Rd, Watsonville
Manresa State beach is great due to its lack of crowds and picturesque break. Its great for family camping, hiking, windsurfing, fishing and geo catching. As far as the waves go, its sandbars, peaks and valleys make it a great spot for begging to moderate surfers.
Moss Landing
Jetty RD, Moss Landing
Moss Landing is going to be a great option for surfers who are more advanced and don’t mind the cold. With miles of beach brake, Moss Landing is usually not very crowded and an ideal spot for some surfing solitude. Nearby are the Monterey Bay Aquarium and other fun central coast attractions such as the Carmel Valley and Big Sur.
Cowells
109 Beach St. Santa Cruz
Cowells is fantastic for beginning long boarders. Located next to the iconic beach boardwalk, this spot is great for the whole family!
Natural Bridges
2531 W Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz
Natural bridges is another spot for our expert surfers. When conditions are just right this is a great beach to catch some rigorous wave action. If you’re not into surfing but want to plan a fun beach day, this is a good option. The arches just beyond the break are picturesque and it is typically not crowded.
Steamer Lane
West Cliff, Santa Cruz
HAZARDOUS to those who are not experts and territorial as well! Steamers lane is by far the most famous Surf Spot in all of Santa Cruz. Nicknamed ‘the Lane”, Steamers is known as a locals spot! It’s really a fun place to park and watch the amazing surfers. Close near by is the Santa Cruz Surf Museum and Cowells beach.
