You surely don’t want to miss one of Nevada’s most scenic, natural landscapes. Great Basin National Park is located in Eastern Nevada and is home to diverse terrain, including glaciers, desert valleys, sage covered foothills and lakes.

Enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, cave and astronomy tours. Great Basin has no Wi-Fi or cell phone service, so be prepared to disconnect. At night the stars are absolutely spectacular.

Cathedral Gorge State Park

Located in southwestern Nevada, Cathedral Gorge State Park features dramatic views of clay rocks, carved out by volcanic activity. Cave-like rock formations appear in the shape of cathedrals, thus giving the park its name.

The park offers 22 shaded RV and motorhome spots. Electric hookups are available. You cannot reserve spots at Cathedral Gorge — availability is based on a first come, first serve basis. Toilets, showers and handicapped-accessible sites are located on the premises.

Cathedral Gorge State Park is open 365 days a year. Prices are $5 per vehicle, $15 for overnight camping per night and $10 for electric hookups.

Activities in the area include hiking in nearby Echo and Kershaw-Ryan Canyons. Kershaw-Ryan Canyon is covered in lush oak trees and rose gardens. Also available is a children’s wading pool.
