Some of the benefits of joining a caravan/recreational vehicle organization are the following; discounts at campgrounds and retailers, information on vehicle maintenance and the opportunity to make life long friends with those who share your passion for the open road.
Most of these groups provide a monthly or quarterly newsletter with information on exciting campouts, potlucks, rallies and other events.
Roadtrek International is part of the Family Motor Coach Association. This group targets the proud owners of Roadtrek motorhomes. Membership in the chapter includes access to rallies and frequent events, many opportunities for camaraderie and family camping, access to a bi-monthly newsletters as well as member directories and all of the benefits of being part of the FMCA. With chapters across the country, this bunch is all about women bonding over their love of nature! Support and friendship for women who plan to travel by RV or already have one is this organizations mission. Potlucks, rallies, kayaking trips, going riding ziplines, seminars, classes and caravans are just a fraction of the activities features offered when you join this club. Recent caravans include a trip to the Rose Bowl Parade and Mexico’s Copper Canyon. Memberships start at $62.00 per year for one member and $104.00 for one year for two members traveling together. Discounts are offered when you decided to join for periods of two to three years.
Tin Can Tourists
Tin Can Tourists is the largest vintage trailer club in the world! Est. in 1919, this organization has over 2000 members and the only requirement is that your RV is 20 years old and your trailer is at least 25 years old. The Tin Can Tourists are all about bonding over the common love for vintage trailers and motorhomes. TCT host’s events, has a newsletter and is a great source of information about trailer insurance, titles and other resources.
Travel Trailer Club of the Midwest
Travel Trailer Club of the Midwest or T.T.C.M has been organizing events and seasonal activities for recreational vehicle owners in the Midwest since 1964. Membership will cost you about $30.00 per year and gives you access to low cost camping fee’s, camaraderie opportunities and a host of other useful information.
The Traveling Supremes is an organization that unites fellow RV’ers for social events and networking. Rallies, special occasions, RV tips, members travels and great destination caravans is just some of the clubs benefits. Primarily located in the Southwest and Southeastern parts of the country, Traveling Supremes provides an online forum for folks to get together and enjoy themselves!
Vintage Vacations
Vintage Vacations was featured on the Travel Channels show called “Wheel Estates”. Craig Dorsey, founder has created a network of folks that get together and bond over their love of vintage trailers! Information on rallies, restorations, trailers for sale and much more is available on the website.
