The uncertainty of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is being felt across the world, including here in San Francisco.
On Monday, March 16, California announced a lockdown on 7 Bay Area counties, impacting 7 million people. It requires people to stay at home unless completely necessary. The order is in place until April 7th and could be extended.
Classic Vans is one of the many small businesses that could be greatly impacted by this order.
Our Hayward dealership and service department are still open for business online and over the phone.
“This is just day one of the lockdown. It is foggy outside, which seems fitting given the circumstances,” said Gabrielle Carey, who has worked alongside her father, John Carey, at the family business for several years. “There are no people walking the streets and only the occasional car driving by. Other than that, it is completely silent. To be honest, this feels like it could be straight out of a movie.”
For now, we will take each day at a time in order to help protect our hardworking employees and do our part to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Classic Vans will weather this storm and we look forward to the day we can help you choose your next van – online or in person.
In the meantime, we invite you to browse our awesome online selection of new and used vans for sale from a wide range of manufacturers:
