- Purchase discount tickets prior to leaving for your trip!
Every year Disneyland tickets and park passes seem to get pricier and pricier. This is where a little research a few weeks before your trip will save you big time! There are several ways to obtain better-priced tickets but beware of scams!!
DO; use an authorized Disneyland ticket reseller such as getawaytoday.com. You can save more when you bundle several days together and the discount can be up to $20 per day if you choose to go for a 3 day pass as opposed to a 2 day one.
DO; consider purchasing your Disneyland tickets from AAA. Members of AAA who live anywhere can buy discounted tickets, however you will have to purchase the tickets at a Southern California branch. The location to the closest AAA office from the park is 420 N Euclid Street, Anaheim CA. The telephone number is (714) 774-2392. It is located approximately 4 miles from Disneyland.
DO; inquire about discounts available to teachers, employees of large corporations and government agencies, students and ex/current military service members.
DO, check with retailers such as Costco, Safeway and Lucky’s for possible discounted passes. Once in awhile they offer a better deal than purchasing your ticket at the park.
DO; look at online travel agencies such as Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity and Priceline. Once in while these websites offer discounts, however beware of the fine print!
- BEWARE OF SCAMS!!!!
Unfortunately there are loads of scams out there! Be really cautious of the following:
DON’T purchase tickets on eBay or Craigslist. People have unfortunately become masterful at the art of mimicking phony tickets. Better safe than sorry and avoid falling for a deal that looks too good to be true, it likely is.
DON’T buy a partially used ticket. Many people claim to have purchased a 4-day pass and only have used one or two days of it. Unfortunately Disneyland does not transfer tickets. You will have absolutely no way of finding out if the ticket is legitimate until you get to the gate of the park.
- Additional tips for your trip:
Taking your friends or family on an RV trip to Disneyland is sure to create some lasting memories you will fondly remember for years to come. Take the stress out of your trip by trying to drive down during the week instead of the weekend. The lines at the park are famous for being incredibly long!
Additional money saving tips include packing a cooler to bring outside food and drinks into the park. This can save you an insane amount of money per day! Remember, don’t bring any alcohol or a cooler larger than 24” ×15”×18’.
Check the weather and be sure to pack accordingly with plenty of sunscreen for the warm Southern California sun!
