How far would you go to have the ultimate tailgate experience? One proud Texan sports fan has taken it to the max. After dropping $275,000 dollars on converting a 2012 Freightliner Sprinter into a seriously tech-savvy, party mobile, the most extreme tailgate van ever has been created.
What Could Possibly Make a Tailgate Van Cost Over a Quarter-Million Dollars?
The Red 2012 Freightliner Sprinter comes complete with:
- Apple or Android device-controlled technology
- 10 TV’s in total
- Wi-Fi
- A propane grill
- 50 speakers with subwoofers in various places
- Wooden floors
- Plush leather couches
Unfortunately for this owner, the van’s luster wore off rather quickly. The van was put on Craigslist with this description from the seller:
IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BE THE ENVY OF ANY TAILGATE PARTY THIS IS THE TICKET!!! As mentioned above in the title, this is a 2012 freightliner sprinter. This thing is THE WORLDS MOST INSANE TAILGATING VEHICLE!!!! Winner of tailgater of the game and 2nd place tailgater of the year! This sprinter was built at the shop I work at for a good customer. Unfortunately the customer has lost interest in tailgating and this vehicle is up for a steal of a price. This is a one off vehicle, there is not anything like this! The original cost of this build out was a little over $275,000.
So if there are any techy, wealthy Texas A&M/Houston Texas tailgaters out there, you might be able to pick this bad boy up for a “steal” of $148,000. Or who knows, you may even be able to convert the van into an Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots or Atlanta Falcon tailgaters dream.
